During my solo trip across Europe, I learned one of the biggest lessons of my life: how to be alone.
I wonโt pretend it was easy. Kilometre after kilometre, I slowly found peace with myself. I learned to embrace solitude and genuinely enjoy spending time with me, myself, and I. That gave me the space to breathe, appreciate the present, and dream about the life I truly want.
I realised that I want travel to become my lifestyle. Not just by motorcycle, but by camper as well. Actuallyโฆ why choose? Why not both? That realisation became the foundation of my next chapter. And for that, I wanted a new motorcycle.
Donโt get me wrong, Nacho was amazing. He was my teenage dream motorcycle. Owning him and travelling across Europe with him was a dream come true. Now that Iโve achieved that dream, itโs time for the next one. A motorcycle built for a lifetime of adventure. Yep, a brand new bike. First owner.
And the funny thing is, I sold Nacho on Sunday, and by Wednesday I was already picking up the new bike.
Meet Carlos, my 2026 KTM 790 Adventure.

You have no idea how excited I am! ๐คฉ
This part is for the nerdsโฆ So why did I choose the KTM 790 Adventure? Of course, first of all, itโs a KTM. But there is more to it than that. The price was right, and the balance between tech, performance and practicality was exactly what I was looking for. An 800cc engine with 95 horsepower is more than enough for me. I donโt need endless power, I need a reliable adventure machine. A bike I can comfortably tour on and confidently take off-road.
The weight is perfect. Not only for handling the bike myself, but also with my future plans in mind. When I eventually build my camper, the motorcycle needs to be practical to transport. And then there is the height. It feels like this bike was made for my body. The ergonomics and riding position fit me perfectly.
With Carlos, phase one of my journey toward total freedom is complete.
Phase two is to keep saving so I can buy a box truck and convert it into a tiny house on wheels. My own camper. Are you still following?

Once thatโs finished, phase three begins. Itโs the boring part. The camper goes into storage to keep my expenses as low as possible while I spend another year working and saving aggressively. The goal is simple: build a solid travel budget so I can set off on my journey toward total freedom.
This plan will take about three years to complete, and Iโm currently in year one. Unless I win the lottery, of course. Then I could make this plan happen the day before yesterday. You know what I mean. But for now,, Iโll keep working towards it slowly but surely
In the meantime, Carlos and I will be going on plenty of mini adventures, exploring new roads, and making the most of every long weekend.
This is just the beginning of my road to total freedom. So stay tuned!
Iโm curiousโฆ. What are YOU doing right now to achieve the life you want?
